I have lived in Clarendon Park, Leicester for 15 years, teaching A Level Music at a WQE college until 2023 and KS3, GCSE and A Level Music at Leicester Grammar School for the past year. I began teaching privately in 2019 and love being able to coach pupils on a one-to-one basis. 

 

Born in Devon into a musical family, I have always been surrounded by music. Songs, rounds and rhythm games were a part of my family’s language, and they are now a natural part of life for me and my young son. I began recorder and piano lessons at primary school, and later, the flute became my main focus. I sang in a church choir from the age of 8 and throughout my teens, and singing became my first study at university. I still sing all the time, wherever I am and whatever I'm doing! I have sung with acclaimed local chamber choirs (Leicestershire Chorale and more recently Kingfisher Chorale) for 15 years. I am also a Trustee for the Leicester International Music Festival, managing outreach and educational projects in the city.
